What a Love!

I hope this reminder from Larry Patton of Hurdling Handicaps will bless you as much as it did me during this Good Friday and Easter weekend:
__________
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
The following quote was part of a lesson from the book entitled "Believing and Knowing the Truth" which is part of the No Regrets series written by Steve Sonderman.
"Often times we find ourselves in a tough place, when life does not seem to be going the way we would like, whether it be a marriage that is going south, a child who is prodigal, a spouse diagnosed with cancer or a career that seems to be going nowhere. It is in those times that I have been tempted to ask God, “Where are you? Do you care about me? If you really loved me you would not let this happen to me or my family!” I don’t know about you, but I find myself thinking these thoughts more than I should. It is at these times when I have to look at the cross. When Jesus hung, bled and died on the cross, He was saying to you, the world, and me that "I love you.”"
If you ever wonder if you have value, or if someone loves you and desires the best for you, take a hard look at the cross. It is the greatest definition of love there is. On the cross, God opened up the heavens and shouted out to mankind, “I love you, I died for you, and I have given you life.” It is at these times of great trial, I fall on my knees and thank Him and praise Him for His work on my behalf.
What trials are you currently facing in your life? What value do you place on yourself? How would you define love? Is your definition of love different than the Lord's definition?
He demonstrated His love for you by going to the cross. I believe that Steve states it perfectly that our Lord loves you and me despite whatever hardships, difficulties, or trials we are facing this Easter season.
It is my prayer that each of us this Easter can realize and experience Christ's love despite the life hurdles we are facing or dealing with. Have a wonderful and blessed Easter!
